Call for Submissions!
Join us this October for two evenings of Indian Dance in celebration of Vijayadashami!
There will be two performances taking place at the Balance Arts Center in Midtown: Friday October 11th and Saturday October 12th, both at 7pm.
Accepted applicants will receive:
A 30 minute lighting/tech rehearsal on the day of the performance (3 internal cues max).
Up to 15 minutes of performance time.
Reduced space rental fee at the Balance Arts Center as space is available (15% discount).
There is a no application fee!
Each piece selected will receive a $100 honorarium.
Showcase Details
Performance Running Time: 15 minute max
Minimal props requested
No excessively loud music
Live music is welcome
No street shoes, animals, open flames, paint, liquids, glitter, beads, confetti, or food to be used in the performance
The BAC, in collaboration with members of the classical Indian dance community, will curate the performances.
Application deadline is Friday, August 16th at 5pm ET
Applicants will be notified about their work being presented by Friday, August 30th
